In 2026, AmI awarded scholarships for the first time as part of the Transatlantic Mentoring Program. Students who had previously received an AmI network scholarship and were active in Alumni-AmI were eligible to apply for the scholarship. Scholarship recipients are paired with a mentor selected by the “Friends of Freiburg Alumni North America,” who provides guidance for 12 months. The goal is to enable our scholarship recipients to build international contacts in order to prepare them for international assignments. To this end, three of the scholarship recipients traveled to NYC in March 2026 to meet their mentors in person, while the other three will initially get to know their mentors via video calls.
